Ashe Mahamudra Retreat 2022
with Richard John
June 10 - 19, 2018
Mahamudra, the “great seal,” is among the most profound streams of teaching and practice of Vajrayana Buddhism. A powerful support for all other tantric practices, it is also extremely simple and direct, focused on recognizing and gaining confidence in the nature of mind through direct experience.
The Ashe Mahamudra liturgy by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche combines classic mahamudra instructions with the wisdom of Ashe and the Four Dignities. Our practice will be augmented by pith instructions from great mahamudra and dzokchen masters including Yeshe Tsogyal, Dilgo Khyentse, Jamgon Kongtrul, Rangjung Dorje, and Chögyam Trungpa.
Who Should Attend
This advanced retreat is restricted to Vajrayana practitioners who have attended Vajrayana Seminary or Sacred World Assembly. Participants should commit to the entire retreat.
What to Expect
The retreat will be mostly silent, with ample opportunity for Q&A and circle conversations. Each day will include the physical practices of Lujong, Shamatha Yoga, and Lungtse, and the Stroke of Ashe.
