Being Alone Together: A Teacher-Supported Personal Retreat, July 24 - 31
with T. Tavita Martinez and Mark Nowakowski
Flexible Dates
Design Your Own Retreat
Whether you are seeking time for a personal retreat, wishing to deepen your existing practice, make progress with your Ngöndro, or simply enjoy a few quiet days of contemplative activity, this retreat offers the space and flexibility to support you wherever you are on your path.
You will not be alone. Tavita and Mark, the teachers in residence, will be available for one-on-one meetings. From meditation instruction and practice clarification to conversation, they will bring a steady and friendly presence.
Participants are welcome to attend the full retreat or join for a minimum stay of two nights.
Consider coming with a friend or a group of friends so that you can practice together.
This is a structured retreat environment that offers both support and flexibility. Each day follows a simple rhythm, with optional opportunities to join group meditation, chanting, mindful movement, and one-on-one meetings with a teacher. You are free to participate in what best supports your own study and practice.
There will be nutritious meals, enjoyed on your own or with others, and a light daily rota that helps support the retreat container.
We offer a variety of practice spaces: your own room, the main shrine room for silent practice in the presence of others, small shrine rooms for small groups doing the same practice.
This retreat follows the format developed by Eve Rosenthal and introduced last year. In this short video, she shares the principles behind the Being Alone Together Retreat.
