Dorje Dradul of Mukpo, the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin, and Senior Students

The Year of the Fire Horse marks the 50th Anniversary of the arrival of the Shambhala terma and of the Black Ashe. It is also the year when Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche will confer the Scorpion Seal empowerment in Halifax (August 2026).

To mark these auspicious occasions, the Kalapa Study Group would like to invite you to join us on a comprehensive review of the Dorje Dradül of Mukpo’s terma texts: The Letter of the Black Ashe, The Letter of the Golden Key which Fulfills Desire, The Letter of the Golden Sun of the Great East, and its auto-commentary, Tiger Lion Garuda Dragon Glory.

To facilitate this review, we have selected a set of excellent audio and video recordings by the Dorje Dradul of Mukpo, the Vajra Regent, Ösel Tendzin and a roster of senior teachers. Live presenters and small discussion groups will provide participants an opportunity for lively discussion.  Additional readings and recordings of the sessions will be posted regularly.

This class will ran two times a weeks for ten week in the spring of 2026.

Who May Attend

Participants should have completed Warrior’s Assembly or the equivalent. Students who qualify for Warriors Assembly, but have not had the opportunity to attend, can take the course up to the discussion of the Golden Sun of the Great East text. They then can complete the Shambala Terma Review via recordings after they attend either one of the two 2026 Assemblies. Please reach out to us if there are barriers to your participation.
