We will be:
- Revisiting the Kingdom of Shambhala teachings of the Dorje Dradul,
- Practicing together as a sangha
- Contemplating how these teachings can guide us in preserving human dignity during times of global strife.

Pre-requisites:
Kalapa Assembly, Rigden Abhisheka, or Werma transmission.
Participants are encouraged to review:
- Cycle of the Black Ashe by Robin Kornman (Nalanda Translation Committee),
- Creating Enlightened Society (Nalanda Translation Committee), and
- Reflections in the Cosmic Mirror: The Kalapa Teachings of the Dorje Dradul on (Self Study Course on Shambhala Online).
Schedule

General Schedule:
The typical day will begin at 8:00 am with breakfast and end around 8:30 pm, with a few exceptions such as first and last days. There are breaks for meals and mid-day rest.
Morning sessions will start at 9:00 AM after breakfast. The focus will be on Werma, Stroke, and Lungta, along with readings and contemplation of the Shambhala terma texts, with a couple of highlights, listening to the Dorje Dradul.
Afternoon sessions will begin at 3:30 pm AT. These will provide an opportunity to catch up with each other as subjects sharing a particular set of teachings and commands.
This overview will be enriched by panel presentations with fellow subjects on Vajra Politics, symbolic language of Court Principle, history of KOS, Dralas in Nova Scotia, Dorje Kasung transmissions of Victory Over War, current governance structures within the Shambhala mandala, service and relations in Nova Scotia rural communities, environmental concerns, etc.
Evenings will feature performances by sangha musicians, actors, and Kalapa Arts practitioners, creating a vibrant space to connect and celebrate.
First Day: Friday, October 17 — First talk beginning around 7:30.
Final Day: Sunday October 26 after lunch.
Costs
All prices are in $CAD. Please consider paying by e-transfer, cheque, or cash. Saving transaction fees helps us keep the Centre going.
Online Pricing:
Sliding fee scale starting at $108. Group pricing for Shambhala Centers can be arranged.
Generosity Policy:
We have a donor-supported pay what you can policy and scholarships available. If you need financial assistance, this is the process:
- Register for the program and choose “etransfer or cheque for the payment option”. This will allow you to register without paying.
- Complete this form and our Finance Director will contact you.
- Your balance will be updated and you will be notified to pay any remaining balance.
Heart Gifts
Instead of heart gifts to the faculty, participants will be encouraged to donate to DDL.
- The Kalapa Study Group is composed of members of the former Council of Warriors and senior students and teachers of the Shambhala Path.
