Overview
Ikebana – the Japanese art of flower arranging – can convey emotions, tell a story, or spark a sense of wonder.
Join Tejumo Ogouma to discover and delve into the magic of Ikebana and what makes it a compelling art form. In the beautiful natural surroundings of Dorje Denma Ling, we will explore the intersection of meditation practice and creativity. Artists and non-artists are invited. The workshop will include presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.
Who Should Attend

What to Bring
- clippers,
- a towel,
- a shallow container, and a receptacle/small bucket
- optional: any organic and non-organic materials such as mesh, wire, driftwood, wrapping paper and construction paper, etc.
Costs
All prices are in $CAD. Please consider paying by e-transfer, cheque, or cash. Saving transaction fees helps us keep the Centre going.
Meals: $60 ($30/day)
Centre, Tuition & Materials Fee: $200 total

Generosity Policy
Dorje Denma Ling wants teachings to be available to all who seek them, and to people of every financial or social condition. We offer payment plans, sliding scale, and scholarships, supported by donations. We have scholarships available for those with financial need and others specifically to support newer meditators, BIPOC practitioners, and those under 40. Learn more

Tejumo Ogouma
Tejumo Ogouma is a long-time Shambhala Buddhist practitioner who has devoted many years to the study and application of the creative arts in our everyday lives. He is a practicing artist trained in Ikebana in the Sogetsu tradition, Miksang (contemplative photography), and Haiku.
