Re-awakening the Vision and Practice of KOS
April 4 - 6, 2020
It’s been more than 40 years since the Druk Sakyong first invited his students to join him in establishing a homeland for Shambhala. This weekend will celebrate our shared heritage as Lodge members, and explore our understanding of and commitment to the vision of the KOS.
We will begin this exploration by going back to square one. We will study the vision and practice as originally presented by the Druk Sakyong, examining original documents and listening to interviews and lectures.
Then we ask, “What was our individual response to that request? How has this affected our life’s journey? What more do we think needs to be done? ”
This weekend offers an opportunity to explore our mutual connection to each other and the mindstream of the Druk Sakyong. We’ll practice werma, lungta and stroke, and have ample group discussion with room for debate.
Our aspiration is to clarify the view and practice of KOS together, and thus inspire us to gather again – whether at Dorje Denma Ling or local centres — to share and celebrate the myriad ways in which we have turned these teachings into action.
