There are many reasons to meditate – it is good for your health, it can relieve stress, and it can help you be more mindful in your daily life.  But from the Buddhist perspective, meditation is much more – it is a way to connect with the deep and profound goodness of our humanity.  That goodness manifests as caring, curiosity, and courage.

We could say these three principles are the qualities we had when we were born.  Because they are innate, they are not learned over time, improved with education, or diminished by life’s misfortunes.  These treasures are within us waiting to be discovered.

Join us to explore how caring, curiosity and courage can become potent elements of our sitting practice as well as foster a loving attitude towards ourselves and a merciful approach to others.

What to Expect

This course will consist of six sessions: (1) an opening session, followed by one session each devoted to (2) caring, (3) curiosity, and (4) courage, and ending with (5) a closing session. Allow some time for homework, practice, and contemplation between sessions.
